Educational Psychologist

Jennah is a child and adolescent psychologist with a strong dedication to supporting young people through the challenges they face as they grow and develop. Her approach is focused on providing a safe, empathetic, and personalised space where children and teens can explore their thoughts and feelings at their pace, with a focus on understanding how their brain works and helping to build skills and healthy coping strategies to navigate their world.

 

Jennah has experience working therapeutically with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, social and emotional difficulties relating to autism and ADHD, learning difficulties, life transitions, parent-child bonding and family functioning, and developmental delay. Her therapeutic style draws from a combination of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness strategies, which she adapts to each person’s individual needs.

 

Jennah is also able to provide a range of psychological assessments, including:

· Cognitive assessments (WISC-V, WAIS-IV)

· Academic assessments (WIAT-III)

· Learning difficulties/specific learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia)

· Adaptive behaviour assessments (e.g., ABAS-3, Vineland-3)

· ADHD assessments

 

Having completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental), Jennah is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists.

 

Fees:

50 minute consultation sessions are $220.00

Jennah is registered with Medicare. If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) you are able to claim a rebate of $96.65 per session, for up to 10 sessions each calendar year.

Private health insurance rebates may also be applicable, however cannot be used in addition to a Medicare rebate.

Referrals may also be accepted from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Assessment fees range from approximately $1,400 to $2,400, depending on the type of assessment required. An estimated assessment fee (inclusive of a feedback session and comprehensive report) is available upon request.
