Psychologist
Owen is a Registered Psychologist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology and has experience working in youth and adult mental health.
Owen enjoys working with a range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, anger, personality disorders, trauma and relationship difficulties.
Owen has experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages. Owen has a particular interest in working with young men struggling with personality, mood or anxiety related difficulties.
Owen's approach is collaborative, non-judgmental and insight-driven with a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships with people based on trust and respect.
Owen’s therapeutic approach has an interpersonal and psychodynamic emphasis, helping clients gain deeper insight into themselves and their difficulties, develop self-acceptance and confidence, and resolve obstacles to emotional growth.
Referrals are accepted from NDIS self-managed and plan-managed, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Work Cover, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT) and Private Health Insurance.
Fees:
Initial 50 minute assessment sessions and subsequent sessions are $200 (Health Care Card Holders’ fees may be negotiated)
Owen is registered with Medicare and if you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan you are able to claim a rebate per session for 10 sessions at a rate of $96.65.
